Hi, I’m Ash — your Traverse City doula, photographer, and tea-sipping birth nerd.
I help growing families feel prepared, informed, and supported through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
I am trained in hands-on comfort measures, biomechanics for birth, and movement that helps labor progress. I blend evidence based education, physical support, advocacy, and a calm presence that helps you feel steady in big moments.
I also offer birth photography when you want your story gently documented, with no pressure and no extra people in the room.

Prepare
We create a detailed birth preferences document that reflects your values and your comfort needs, not a one size fits all checklist.
We do personalized childbirth education in your home and practice positions, breath work, comfort tools, and hands on support techniques. You learn how your body works in labor and how to use movement and relaxation to help things flow.
Your partner learns how to support you too, so you both feel confident and ready.
Show Up
When labor begins, I come to you. I offer real time information, hands on support, movement guidance, and reassurance through every stage. I help you stay grounded, adjust positions, and follow your body.
I guide your partner so they feel involved and connected, not unsure or pushed aside. I am with you the whole time, helping you stay calm, safe, and supported until your baby is in your arms.
Follow Through
After birth, I stay in the picture.
We check in on healing, emotions, newborn care, and lactation. You get gentle postpartum support, herbal comfort, feeding help, and real guidance for the early days at home.
Birth does not end the moment baby is born. I am here as you settle in, learn your baby, and find your new rhythm.

Because I give each family dedicated time, attention, and care, I only take a small number of birth clients each month. This helps me stay fully present and available through your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.
If your due month is already full, please still reach out. I often save space for unexpected openings or urgent needs, and I’m happy to connect you with one of the trusted doulas I work alongside. Your support and care still matter, and I’ll help you find the right fit.

Sliding Scale Pricing
I believe birth support should be accessible to every family in our community. That’s why I offer sliding scale pricing. This helps keep my work sustainable while making it possible for more parents to feel cared for, prepared, and supported during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. By choosing a rate that works for your circumstances, you’re also helping make doula care available to families who might not otherwise have access.
For families using Medicaid, I’m happy to share that doula support is now covered in Michigan. This means your birth support could be fully covered with no out-of-pocket cost.
